Wayne McConnell studied piano at Cambridge and jazz piano with US pianist James Williams. His style is very much his own but he cites Phineas Newborn, Bill Evans, Herbie Hancock and Keith Jarrett as influences. He has a working trio and quartet as well as solo piano for booking. From jazz standards to more modern originals the band can cater for all types of functions.
