Being from the lower eastside of des moines iowa AS I DECAY could not live the lives any higher.
Starting in the basement in early 2004 by guitarist Rob "shredd" Brennan and drummer Kevin Harvey.
After months of playing and makin great metal they where ready to finish the line-up,
needing someone for the lowends was just a matter of looking out his front window,
finding out after years that Harpo the bands bass player lived but only 3 houses down. "

North American based rock band Silika, has been infused with a new creative spirit, and the tracks on their upcoming release, The Gainsides, scheduled for a Oct. release reflect this new energy. Upon writing the EP, vocalist/guitarist Joel Bryant, guitarist Jesse Hair, bass guitarist Danny Goldenberg, and drummer Jeff Robins were blessed with a revitalized spirit that helped propel their new group into endless musical creation.
The Silika story first began about four years ago when Bryant and Robbins first started playing together. Hair began playing with them two years later, and their last addition was bassist Goldenberg, joining shortly after Hair. Ultimately, the band named themselves Silika after months of deliberation.
