The Virgo Intacta
The Virgo Intacta: a 3-girl/1-boy/no-guitar Jazz-Punk band. They have released three 7” singles on their own label Dansettual, performed two XFM sessions on John Kennedy’s show and a session with Gideon Coe for 6 Music. They supported the White Stripes on the London leg of their 2005 UK tour, at Alexandra Palace and Hammersmith Apollo and also provided support for Babyshambles at the Rhythm Factory in February this year. The current single "I Like my New Friends Better/Junk Girls with Wet Hair" made Radio 1’s Rob Da Bank’s play list (and top ten fave records) and the video has had appearances on MTV2. The band come from Leigh-on-sea, Essex but gig regularly in London at venues such as The 100 Club and various East End haunts.
