The Red Jumps
The Red Jumps play good-time music. If it puts a smile on your face and rhythm in your feet, then it’s for us. But mostly, it’s for you – people who like music with style, music that knows where its roots are, music that sounds like good music should. If you like blues, jazz, rock’n’roll, country or swing, then you’ll like us! We’ll play anywhere - pubs, clubs, weddings, bar mitzvahs, wakes and funerals, tea dances, whist drives, speed-dating extravaganzas, Roller Derbies, car boot sales, baby showers, 105th birthday parties – if you pay, we play. Why The Red Jumps? Put 5 musicians in a room, ask them to choose a name for their new band, and you’ll get at least 50 suggestions – and no decisions. So we took the easy way out and stole the name of one of our favourite tunes, an old Stuff Smith number called The Red Jumps. A name for the band and a number for the set list - sorted!
