The band, based in London, brings together the talents of four musicians from various backgrounds in jazz, funk, rock and soul and two female vocalists, both called Bex, both with distinctive and powerful voices.

Combining Caribbean beats and thick, soulful grooves, five-piece D.C.
group Mélange play an eclectic style of R&B that brings the listener
into a vibrant world of sultry singing and upbeat rhythms.
Singer and keyboardist Sarah Thomas, formerly a solo artist who formed
her own label, Royal-T Records, in 2004, plays with Gustavo Monje on
guitar, Charles Thompson on bass, Isaac Asare on drums, and David
Robinson on Latin percussion.
Drawing on influences ranging from Sade to Roberta Flack to Frank
Sinatra, Mélange explores a variety of styles including R&B, Latin,
jazz and rock. The group also cites traditional Haitian music as a
major influence, with Sarah tracing her family roots back to that
Caribbean island.
Mélange’s high-energy live shows often include crowd participation
and, if the audience takes their vitamins, lots of dancing.

The SoulMates
Band history goes back over 15 years, when a bunch of then session musicians came together to form a really top class Soul outfit - the Band was born. Two members were part of The First Class - remember the 70's classic hit 'Beach Baby' - with other members having performed with many well known acts such as The Sweet, Edwin Starr, Marillion, Cutting Crew. Fully equipped with PA system and lights, we boast a fantastic brass section giving that fat brass sound that you just can't copy with a keyboard.
With roots still in Motown and Soul, the repertoire includes hits from artists like Average White Band, Earth Wind and Fire, Stevie Wonder, Ricky Martin, Otis Redding, Isley Brothers, Tina Turner, Frankie Valli, Blues Brothers, Chic, Billy Joel, James Brown, Tom Jones, Rolling Stones, Wild Cherry, George Michael, Van Morrison, Randy Crawford.
