Ruth Gardner studied Music at Clare College, Cambridge where she was awarded a scholarship. Then Ruth studied Piano Accompaniment for two years at the RNCM. During this time she won the Clifton Helliwell Prize for Piano, the Stella Bradshaw Award for Accompaniment and the Allcard Award 2000 from the Worshipful Company of Musicians. Ruth graduated with the colleges top performance Diploma PPRNCM (Distinction). As a freelance pianist/accompanist Ruth is currently employed at the RNCM. Ruth has also worked for NYO, BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, European Opera Centre. she recently did a North-African cruise with Swan Hellenic. As a piano teacher Ruth runs the SEMPLICE School of Private Piano Studies. Based in the Longsight area she teaches any age and any ability from beginner to Diploma standard. She is also an experienced wedding pianist
