Pure Genius are one of Northampton's finest and most enjoyable bands. Their ability to play a vast array of musical styles and adapt to any given audience makes them a desirable act. They pride themselves on playing a unique mix of songs you wont hear many other groups cover, playing songs from the 70's disco era, soul, jazz, reggae and some forgotten tunes from the 80's. Pure Genius began as a four piece outift in 2000, playing pubs and clubs all over the country for a couple of years. After a short break they reformed in 2003 fielding a stronger lineup, adding a tremendous sax player and a new funky bass man. Their passion for the music and the band is reflected in the energy and excitement of their performances. This results in a great evening for both the band and the audience every time.
