Phloot Groove is: Jim Black - vocals, guitar & electronics and Kirsten Elliott - vocals, flute & electronics. This duo blends a unique mix of styles - one moment they will be singing a bluesy jump tune, the next, abstract sounds will be swimming through a jazzy drum'n'bass groove. Most loops are spontaneously created and manipulated from live sources, keeping a tactile, human element throughout all the music, even when using modern electronics. This postmodern approach grew out of the late night café scene in their hometown of VANCOUVER, CANADA. Both players have been active in many projects in Canada, and look forward to continuing their collaboration abroad.
