Matthew Robinson (Classical Guitar)
Available for bookings for session work and functions etc. throughout the U.K. Matthew is currently in his 4th year (Sept 07) studying for a BMus(Hons) degree. He is under the tutelage of Mark Ashford and Mark Eden at Birmingham Conservatoire. Born in the North East of England in 1985, Matthew’s first interest in music began with the clarinet, with which he became principle clarinettist of the Tees Valley Youth Orchestra when he was 17, but he began playing the guitar in 2002 with John Forsyth and went on to study with Simon Dinnigan before gaining a place at Birmingham Conservatoire in 2004.
In 2007 Matthew won the “Birmingham Conservatoire Guitar Prize” and has performed in many venues throughout the North East and Midlands, including Birmingham Cathedral.He has participated in master classes with Robert Brightmoor, Pepe Romero, Roland Dyens, Andrew York and William Kanengiser of th
