Brass Impact Big Band
Brass Impact! are one of Scotland’s most dynamic jazz ensembles, offering a unique presentation of big band jazz that is entirely new and exciting.
Our unique sound comes from the use of non-traditional big band instruments such as 'forward facing' baritones (providing the trombone voice) and the very distinctive mellophones, which produce a sound similar to that of the mellophoniums used by the Kenton Orchestra in the early 1960's.
Mixed cleverly with the more traditional trumpets and saxophones, the baritones and mellophones allow us to add that extra 'kick' to the big swing numbers, as well as a rich, warm and luscious sound for the most delicate of ballads and vocal arrangements.
Our unique brass sound is fused together with the drive and excitement of our 6 piece rhythm section, with vocalists Pat Keating and Iain Ewing adding the finishing touches to our presentation.

Jessica has directed videos in New York for different artists and around the world. Some of her music videos have air in BET and Video City New York. Some of her work has won awards of “video of the year” in Korea.
Kris Diaz Started working in music since the age of 14 and have created a new revolution in the history of Latin Music in the Washington-Baltimore area. He is also an event promoter in the area. Jazz Gitanes
Jazz Gitanes is a Hampshire based Gypsy Jazz style swing band. It comprises of a variety of band members ranging from two guitars with visiting violin, clarinet and double bass as and when circumstances permit. Their repertoire includes many of the great jazz standards from the '30s, '40s and '50s , bossa novas, ragtime and many of the compositions from the legendary jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt and violinist Stephane Grappelli.
Jazz gitanes is managed by gypsy swing guitarist Pete 'Tiger' Sheppard.
