Camille Maalawy
Camille was born in Barrow-in-Furness in Cumbria, to an Egyptian Father and British Mother. She has just completed the final year of her MMus Degree in ‘Performance and Related Studies,’ at Goldsmiths College. Recent performances include the world premiere of ‘Song of Songs’ by Ken Burton, in which Camille was the mezzo soloist,recitals at various venues in London, including a concert for the charity ‘Hafla’ which promotes Middle-Eastern co-existence.
Future engagements include lunchtime recitals at St. Martin’s-within-Ludgate, Alto soloist in the Mozart Requiem, a showcase to celebrate the work of playwright, Bernard Kops, and a concert to support the ‘Friends of Bereaved Families Forum: Israeli-Palestinian Families for Peace’ at LSO St. Lukes’.
