The Smokin' jackets are a Colchester based band available for weddings, private & corporate Functions.They cater for a wide age range with variety of different material, are smart, reliable and professional. They do not use pre-recorded backings or midifiles, they actually play their instruments. Quite rare these days! The Smokin' jackets feature drums, bass, guitar, keyboards and vocals and have a self-contained DJ function and can meet any requirement (given sufficient notice). They also have a high quality sound system and have their own lighting rig. Finally they wWill learn songs to play at the wedding or function as required (given sufficient notice).

Being a regular band on the Essex pub circuit gives you a chance to come and hear us play live if you are looking for a band for your function. ~ TooREX ~ The Marc Bolan and T-REX stage show (featuring the incredible Bobby T as Marc Bolan) bring back the Glam Rock era of the early seventies with a spell binding show that covers the whole of Marc Bolan’s career from the early hippy period of Tyrannosaurus Rex to the megastar, chart topping days of T-Rex. Complete with full costume changes, glitter and more than a dash of star quality, TooREX come incredibly close to the real thing. This full nostalgic concert includes some early singles such as “Deborah”, “One Inch Rock” and “Ride A White Swan” to the big hits “Get It On”, “Telegram Sam”, “Hot Love”, “Metal Guru”, “Jeepster” and “Children of the Revolution”, to some of the fondly remembered album material.
