Abigail Burrows
Abigail Burrows studied as a scholar at The Purcell School before continuing her studies at the RCM. She was chosen for the prestigious Austin and Hope Pilkington Award and plays a gold Brannen-Cooper flute awarded by the trust. Abigail has performed many concertos with orchestra, including appearances at London’s Royal Festival Hall and The Anvil, Basingstoke. Winner of the Watford Concerto Competition, she toured Russia as a recitalist and performed a concerto at Novgorod Philharmonic Hall. She has played as a soloist in a private concert for Prince Charles and been heard on Classic FM, BBC Television and World Service. In ensemble, Abigail has played in London's Wigmore and Blackheath halls, Birmingham Symphony Hall, Manchester's Bridgewater Hall, and performed at the Edinburgh, Windsor, Buckingham and Fishguard Music Festivals. Abigail is an artist on the 'Live Music Now!' scheme.
