The Funktion Band
'The Funktion Band' is a five-piece ensemble, based in Newcastle upon Tyne, who performs a tasteful yet danceable repertoire of Soul, Funk and Popular music from the last 60 years. Using only experienced musicians this fantastic band consists of female and male lead vocalists, Guitar, Keys, Bass and Drums with the option of augmenting the band to include saxophone or providing additional live background music. ‘The Funktion Band’ specialises in adding that lively atmosphere to any wedding, party or event to get even the most hesitant of guests singing and dancing along.
